Inspiring Stuff Everywhere...be careful, it might be contagious

Believe me, I have had NO LACK of inspiration, but I seemed to have SLACKED MAJORLY in the blogging department.

So, there are few things to share.

Lately, I have been volunteering with an amazing organization, http://achillesinternational.org/chapters/national

You go once a week and work out with an Achilles athlete and be their guide.  You basically show up and run/walk with them, and every week I have participated, I am just blessed and challenged by these individuals.  I mean, if they can get there and work out...what is my excuse???

Check out their page, and get involved if you can.  It is a wonderful program.  Below is one of the best Achilles Nashville athletes and another guide.  Like I said, it is always a good time!

A few weeks ago, I performed at the 2nd Annual Songs For Sound Event http://www.songsforsound.com in Nashville.  This is the 3rd event I have done with this amazing charity.  The inspiration behind this charity, little Lexi Vernon, a cochlear implant recipient, joined me on stage and we sang a duet.  She was flawless...she cracked me up, because she wanted her own microphone, which I loved.  But really, it doesn't get any better than that.  She can hear and sing because of a simple device, and now, this charity is helping many children have the same opportunity!

And today, I read this article. STOP what you are doing. READ IT.  It is worth the few minutes it will take you.  I love that a community stepped up, and poured themselves into the life of another...and guess what???  It worked!

I understand that sometimes it is hard to stay inspired, and stay "up", especially if we focus on all the junk that is going on around us.  But, we have to keep going...and keep our eyes and our heart focused on the right things, the good things that matter.  And believe me, they are out there.  Please do yourself a favor, and find something to invest yourself in.  It keeps everything else in perspective.  That is one of the reasons why I look for opportunities to serve and give back.   It is easy to get bogged down in all of the not-so-good stuff (I have PLENTY of those moments).  But we only have one life to live.  Mine may not always be conventional, or exactly what I thought it would be, but it is my choice to make it count.  And I am trying to do that.  I would encourage you to do the same.

Love,
Tiffany
